Sensitive Tape Application
Moisture Testing
When applying sensitive tape to walls, it is important to ensure that the surface is clean, dry, and free of any dirt or debris. Moisture can cause the tape to lose its adhesion, so it is important to test the wall for moisture before applying the tape. The following steps can be used to test the wall for moisture:
- Cut a piece of clear plastic wrap that is large enough to cover the area where you will be applying the tape.
- Tape the plastic wrap to the wall, making sure to smooth out any wrinkles or bubbles.
- Leave the plastic wrap on the wall for 24 hours.
- After 24 hours, remove the plastic wrap and check for any condensation on the underside of the wrap. If there is any condensation, the wall is too moist to apply tape and should be allowed to dry further before applying the tape.
In addition to the plastic wrap test, there are a few other ways to test for moisture in walls. These methods include using a moisture meter, a hygrometer, or a thermal imaging camera.
